Plasma cutting
The first processing stage in executing a metalwork project involves cutting the metal sheet to size.
Riva Tecnoimpianti can boast a fleet of machines and a 130 A XD plasma cutting system with 2×6 m working range for thickness of up to 30 mm.
Plasma cutting has decidedly lower production costs compared to laser cutting and the speed and applicability of this technology are not to be underestimated. In fact, plasma cutting is suitable for all materials that conduct electricity and it can be used to cut both thin sheets and higher thicknesses. Plasma cutting is also an efficient means to carry out contoured cutting of pipes and other cylindrical formats, as well as to create grooves and angled cuts, bevelling, and perforation.
